Dementia Action Week 2026- Bringing Our Community Together

We are proud to share our plans for Dementia Action Week 2026 – a week dedicated to raising awareness, strengthening support, and celebrating the lives of people living with dementia and those who care for them.

This year, our focus is on connection, understanding, and community. Throughout the week, we will be opening our doors, hosting engaging activities, and creating opportunities for people to learn more about dementia in a welcoming and supportive environment.

What to Expect

We have an exciting programme of events planned, designed for both professionals and members of the public. Whether you are directly affected by dementia, supporting someone who is, or simply want to learn more, there will be something for everyone.

Hereford Meeting Centre Open Day
Join us for a special open day where you can experience first-hand what a Meeting Centre is all about. Meet our friendly team, chat with members, and take part in a variety of fun and meaningful activities. A light lunch will be provided, offering a relaxed space to connect with others and ask questions.

Information and Support
We will also be providing opportunities to access information, advice, and guidance. Our team will be available to talk through the support we offer, as well as signpost to other services that may be helpful for individuals and families.

Why It Matters

Dementia Action Week is about more than awareness – it’s about action. It’s an opportunity to challenge stigma, build understanding, and ensure that people living with dementia feel seen, heard, and supported.

By opening up conversations and creating inclusive spaces, we can work together to build a more dementia-friendly community.

Get Involved

We warmly invite you to join us during Dementia Action Week 2026. Whether you attend an event, share information with others, or simply take time to learn more, your involvement makes a difference.

Community Support Spotlight

We are incredibly grateful to Deer Park Care Home, Ledbury, who have kindly chosen to support us during Dementia Action Week 2026.

As their nominated charity for the week, the team at Deer Park will be hosting a range of activities to raise funds and awareness in support of our work. Their efforts will help us continue providing vital support to people living with dementia and their families across the community.

We are especially pleased to be joining them for their Thursday coffee morning, where we will be giving a short talk about our services and spending time chatting with residents, families, and staff.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Deer Park Care Home for their generosity and commitment to supporting dementia awareness.
